If you’re looking to spoil yourself and your loved ones on your next Sydney trip, you can’t beat the Langham Sydney for pure 5 star luxury and indulgence.

We recently stayed with The Langham Sydney and discovered that it isn’t just a hotel stay – it’s a total experience!

Our Langham hotel stay

From the moment we arrived at the hotel, the Langham Concierge and Porters tended to our every need. Literally taking the keys – and the worries from me.

If you are self-driving like we were, you can take advantage of hotel valet parking, or self park in the nearby Barangaroo Point Wilson carpark station.

For me, valet parking was just so easy. Pull up at the front door, and everything is taken care of. It was raining lightly, but that was no problem. The Concierge had us covered – with umbrellas from the car door!

The Concierge saw us into the hotel as our cases were retrieved by the Langham Porters and the car was whipped away by staff.

The Langham Sydney Reception experience

The Langham check in experience is a seamless one.

We entered the stunning boutique style marble lobby, complete with Baby Grand piano. It’s a grand private manor feel with an emphasis on beauty and grace.

We were quickly checked in, and headed up to settle in to our room.

Our welcome gift – a Langham Sydney high tea!

We took the elevator to the first floor. Our bags were promptly portered up to us.

Upon entry to our hotel room we were welcomed with a gorgeous surprise welcome gift –  a high tea plate of delicious petit fours, chocolates, fruit and other delicacies. What a lovely way to start our Langham stay!

Out Langham city hotel room was elegant and comfortable.

Decorated with bespoke furniture, a charming Parisian style French door balcony opened out into the beautiful treetops of Kent Street.

The twin double beds were made up with crisp, clean bedding which we later found to be very comfortable. A pillow menu was available.

A large wardrobe housed decadently thick bathrobes and slippers, as well as the essentials such as an umbrella and a safe for valuables or passports.

Although the room had a boutique hotel feel, the modern essentials weren’t neglected.

Opposite the beds was a flat screen TV, and there were enough power points to charge every device (even I) could ever need.

I was pleased to find a Nespresso coffee machine, and there was an excellent selection of teas.

A well stocked mini bar draw and bar fridge stocked with wines & soft drinks were housed in the cabinet beneath the TV.

We certainly wanted for nothing during our stay.

The large and luxurious bathroom featured double vanities, a bathtub and a large shower with a rain shower head.

There was a heated towel rail, a hairdryer, ample luxury toiletries and large, fluffy towels.

Dining at The Langham Sydney

The Langham Sydney’s Kitchens on Kent restaurant is located on the ground floor, and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus delectable British-inspired afternoon teas.

I have to admit that breakfast is my favourite part of a hotel stay, and breakfast at the Langham Sydney was a delight.

With waiters on hand ready to attend your every need, a Barista to create your favourite coffee, and an egg chef to whip up a delicious omelette to go with your full buffet breakfast – what more could you ask for to start your day?

Australian, Asian & European breakfast staples, including bacon, breakfast sausages, mushrooms and scrambled eggs are all available.

The kids aren’t forgotten either, with Coco Pops & other breakfast cereal selections to choose from.

Of course there’s toast, juices, fruit selections & pastries galore. Perfect!

Room Service QR Codes

One big change we’ve found in hotels over the last couple of years is the emergence of QR Codes for hotel room services.

The Langham Sydney had a QR Code for their pillow menu and for Room Service. The in room dining offered an excellent selection of meals and snacks available until 10:30pm.

The Observatory Bar

The Observatory Bar located on the ground floor offers a range of wines and cocktails, as well as cuisine such as shared-type food.

This exclusive lounge bar is ideal to have a intimate drink before a show, try an exotic cocktail, or catch up with business collegues or friends.

Day Spa By Chuan & the Langham Health Club Gym for hotel guests

On the basement level of the Langham Sydney you’ll find the Day Spa. Here all kinds of pampering treatments can be booked such as facials & massages.

Take a good look around the Langham Sydney Health Club, Day Spa By Chuan and the breathtaking indoor swimming pool.

Next door to the Spa you’ll find the Langham Health Club gym, a well equipped exercise & fitness studio for hotel guests.

Inside the gym are treadmills, exercise bikes, weights and more exercise equipment, as well as water and fruit to sustain your work out efforts!

One of the best hotel pools in Sydney

Also located on the Day Spa floor, The Sydney Langham’s hotel swimming pool is famous for good reason – it has to be one of the best hotel swimming pools in Sydney.

With twinkling stars set within the night-sky ceiling above, a bubbling hot jacuzzi on one side and a steam room accessible from the other, the indoor heated swimming pool is unparalleled for beauty and luxury.

Grecian style columns decorate the Mediterranean blue tiled pool. Painted seaside murals grace one wall, adding to the carefree theme. Floating in the deep blue pool beneath the star lights above is a beautifully relaxing experience.

If you’re not a swimmer, there are comfortable pool side lounges around the pool which offer a great place for guests to recline, chat, read a book or simply take time out to enjoy this amazing space.

Business meetings, conferences & more

The Langham Sydney also offer several ballrooms & drawing rooms that serve as unique conference rooms and business meeting rooms, open for bookings via the hotel.

A centrally located hotel to make your Sydney staycation easy

Located at Millers Point in the historic Rocks District, the Langham Sydney is perfectly situated.

We walked across to Circular Quay and the Sydney Harbour front in the evening to view the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge in only ten minutes.

At Circular Quay you can take a ride on a Sydney ferry to the famous Taronga Zoo or Luna Park theme park, have a harbour lunch cruise or thrill boat ride.

You can also catch a train or the Sydney CBD tram line to the city shopping district.

The Sydney Aquarium, Madame Tussauds and all the other delights of Darling Harbour are only ten minutes walk from the hotel in the other direction.

Sydney City shopping, cinemas and theatres are all just a five-ten minute taxi ride away from The Langham Sydney.

This quieter yet central Sydney CBD location is fabulously convenient.

Spoil Mum on Mother’s Day
