It’s time! The Let’s go Mum family were very proud to be a part of the new ad campaign to help promote the Memory Walk & Jog 2018 and beat Dementia.

It’s Time to register for your local Memory Walk & Jog – we’ll be there – will you? Please join us!

Did you know that Dementia is the second leading cause of death in Australia? It’s a shocking statistic which surprises many.

Last year we were honoured to be asked to help promote the Memory Walk & Jog, and this year the girls were invited to feature in their new promotional campaign “It’s Time”! As always, we were delighted to help support this worthy cause in any way we could. After two days filming, the national campaign has now been created and released!

Please join us in the fight to beat Dementia – this is a great family activity which encourages everyone to get active for a really great cause! Registrations are open now, and you can find your nearest Memory Walk & Jog organised walk here.

We’re joining the race against Dementia

The Alzheimer’s Australia Memory Walk and Jog is getting ready to launch for another season to help to raise much-needed funds in the battle to help fight Dementia. Memory Walk and Jog fund-raiser events have and will be happening all around Australia.

We’re very proud to join the ranks of people such as Ita Buttrose, actress Doris Younane, Hawthorn footballer Sam Mitchell and many other fellow Australians coming together to raise awareness and help in the fight against Alzheimer’s.

We’ll be at the Canberra ACT Memory Walk & Jog on Sunday, 17 September 2017 – please come along and join us at this fun day out for a very important cause. Grab a friend, a partner, bring the kids, and even the dog! Maybe you could organise a team with some workmates, friends or family!

The really great thing about the Memory Walk & Jog is that it’s perfect for all ages and levels of fitness. There are several walking and running options, including a 1 kilometre leisurely walk, a 5 kilometre walk, and a running race of 7kms!

If you’re not able to make it on the day, never fear – you can still donate to this worthy cause at the official Memory Walk & Jog fundraising website here!

Lets all band together to take part in the Memory Walk and Jog, raise funds and help to make Dementia a distant memory!

2017 Canberra Memory Walk & Jog information

MEMORY WALK & JOG 2017 – CANBERRA

Sunday 17 September

Lennox Gardens, Flynn Drive, Yarralumla ACT

IMPORTANT TIMES

8.00am – registration desk opens
8:45am – event opening, race briefing, and warm-up for the 7km run
9:00am – 7km run start
9.30am – warm-up for the 5km walk/jog/run
9:45am – 5km walk/jog start
9.50am – warm-up for the 1km walk
10:00am – 1km walk start

COURSE DETAILS

There is a 1km walk, 5km walk and jog and a 7km run.
The 1km walk is great for those who want to stretch the legs and soak up the atmosphere.
The 5km walk and jog is great for families or friends wanting a casual stroll or jog and a fun day out.
The 7km run is a great distance for those wanting to push themselves a little harder and work up a bit of a sweat.

REGISTRATION AND COSTS

Registration includes a Memory Walk and Jog T-Shirt, showbag with water bottle, and timed Results (7km runners)
