Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs has more big changes happening from April 1 – here’s what, when and how this is now changing access to some of the most popular Disney rides in the world!

What has changed with Fantasy Springs in 2025?

From January 7th 2025, Tokyo DisneySea’s Fantasy Springs theme park area changed from pass only to no longer restricted entry. Rides remained as pass only rides.

Now from April 1st we have the biggest update yet – the completion of the opening Fantasy Springs rides to all. But will this make some of the rides less accessible than ever?

What exactly is changing from April 1st 2025 in Fantasy Springs?

On the 25th of March 2025 it was announced that from April the 1st 2025 DisneySea guests will no longer need to hold a ride pass to experience any of the Fantasy Springs rides.

Fantasy Springs ride passes (Standby or Premier) had been required from the opening of the area in May 2024 to April 1. From April 1 2025 you can now line up for rides as soon as you arrive at the queue without a ride pass. The compulsory Standby passes (similar to virtual queuing at WDW in Orlando) to allow guests to queue for any of the Fantasy Springs rides are now retired.

This means that guests are now able to walk up to all Fantasy Springs rides:

Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey

Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival

Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure

Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies

and join the queue to line up and ride the ride with no prior booking or paid pass required, other than a Tokyo DisneySea entrance ticket.

Fantasy Springs inside DisneySea

How long are the Fantasy Springs standby ride queues now?

What we know…prior to April 1, limited Standby Pass queues frequently exceeded 2 hours.

With no limited access to queues now it is hard to estimate but depending upon DPA availability it would not be unreasonable to expect to see these queues potentially grow to the three to four hour mark initially and on high demand days.

How long are the Fantasy Springs standby ride queues after April 1?

The Tokyo Disney Frozen ride queue will be the worst case scenario. It’s easily the most popular ride in the park and motivated many people in Tokyo to arrive early and queue several hours prior to the queues opening on April 1st. All just for the chance of booking a Frozen pass. Therefore, new ride strategies involving the investment of time should also now be expected.

Who will get to the queues first?

It seems likely that Fantasy Springs Hotel guests with Happy Entry will be in pole position to line up for the Fantasy Springs rides first.

DisneySea general Happy Entry guests from the front entrance will be running a slow second, but it will probably still be worth it – certainly better than waiting until later in the day to join the queues.

It may all calm down over time like Beauty and the Beast

For comparison Tokyo Disneyland’s own Beauty and the Beast ride initially experienced massive queues upon opening. Several years later that has now settled down to an average of around two hours wait, with DPAs often still being available to purchase up until around mid-morning.

As an Asian Disney Park comparison, Shanghai Disneyland queues frequently exceed four hours for their most popular attraction (Duffy character meets). Disney guests are prepared to dig in and wait for long periods to see their top fan priorities.

Really, only time will tell from April 1! I will update operating strategies in the weeks following!

All about Fantasy Springs & DPAs

If you don’t have a Vacation Package or Fantasy Springs Hotel Grand Chateau booking that already comes with pre-booked Fantasy Springs ride opportunities, you may like to skip the Fantasy Springs queues with a Disney Premier Access Pass.

The Rapunzel ride Priority Access Entrance

Are Disney Premier Access Tickets (DPAs) still available in Fantasy Springs?

Guests can still choose the option to purchase a paid Disney Premier Access pass which allows guests to use the ride’s Priority laneway. When booking a DPA you select an allocated one-hour entrance time period. DPAs allow you to skip the main section of the ride queue and be channeled the head of the queue, close to where the ride starts. This saves potentially hours of waiting in line. You may still be waiting around ten to fifteen minutes total to board the ride.

Does Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies ride have a DPA?

No, Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies ride only has a standard ride queue and no DPA available.

Should I buy Disney Premier Access for Frozen, Rapunzel and Peter Pan rides?

Clearly with the potential of very long ride queues, overseas visitors who have already made a huge financial investment in their trip with time-poor availability would be strongly recommended to book DPAs for any of the Fantasy Springs rides if available. This will free up their time to explore other areas of Tokyo DisneySea – one of the biggest and most unique Disney parks in the world.

How difficult will it be to get a Frozen or Rapunzel DPA from April 1?

It is expected that current amounts of Fantasy Springs DPAs will markedly increase with the ending of the Fantasy Springs Passport/Unlimited Fantasy Springs rides in vacation packages. Hopefully this will make it easier to obtain a Fantasy Springs DPA. Prior to April 1, Frozen DPAs were consistently selling out by around 9am – the official park opening time.

Fantasy Springs Pirate Skull

What gives me the best chance of booking a DPA for Fantasy Springs?

To do this, your best bet is to get Disney Happy Entry or arrive very early. How early we won’t know for sure until we can work out how many DPAs will actually be available and the take up rate – to be confirmed!

How do I book a Tokyo Disney Resort DPA on the app?

You can only book a Tokyo Disney Resort DisneySea DPA on the official Tokyo Disney App after you have scanned into DisneySea. You can only book for people physically scanned into the park.

Watch my step-by-step DPA pass booking walk-through on my YouTube channel here (this video was made last year so please disregard references to Mobile orders only being allowed with ride passes, Fantasy Springs entry being restricted and Standby Passes)

When do Tokyo Disney Premier Access passes run out?

Most if not all DisneySea DPAs will run out at some point during the day. High-demand ride DPAs usually run out in the morning on busy days.

How soon can I buy a second ride DPA?

DPA purchases are limited to one ride per hour, or after you have used your DPA to scan in to ride the ride.

So you can book your next DPA ride booking the moment after you have scanned into the Priority Entrance of your current DPA ride booking, even if it is less than 60 minutes between them.

Alternatively, you can book your next DPA pass 60 minutes after you confirmed booking your previous (yet unused) DPA.

The big pirate ship inside Fantasy Springs

Can I enter my DPA ride booking early?

You can only enter the Priority Laneway for your DPA ride booking during the assigned one-hour time range for your booking.

When your coloured ride ticket with QR Code appears on the app (usually around 5 minutes before your due time period commences) you should be able to scan in to that ride.

Can I enter my DPA ride booking late?

Strictly speaking no, but we have arrived late before due to unforeseen circumstances and explained our way in. I would advise that you avoid arriving outside of your stated ticket time period, as you can be refused entry.

That said, it can’t hurt to explain the circumstances at the Priority Laneway entrance and see how it is received.

How many DPAs can I buy for the same ride?

You can purchase as many DPAs as you like but the problem is availability. You can buy the same ride again if you wish, if it’s still available.

DPA strategy – set a reminder!

Right after you have booked a DPA, set an alarm on your phone to remind you when an hour has passed from your last DPA purchase if you want to buy as many as possible during the day.

Fantasy Springs entry fountains

What is the price of DPA passes for Frozen, Rapunzel and Peter Pan rides?

Each of the Disney Premier Access ride passes are priced at:

2,000 JPY (Japanese Yen) per person per ride.

This converts to approximately:

AUD (Australian Dollar) $21
USD (United States Dollar) $13
GBP (Pound Sterling) £10.30

Which is the most popular DisneySea ride?

Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey is still the stand-out most popular ride at Fantasy Springs, and Disney Sea in general.

The Fantasy Springs rides are listed here in order of popularity:

Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey – need to wait in line or buy a Disney Premier Access (DPA) pass to ride

Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival – need to wait in line or buy a DPA pass to ride

Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure – need to wait in line or buy a DPA pass to ride

Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies – need to wait in line – the queue is the only way to access this ride. There is no Disney Premier Access (DPA – paid) pass available for this ride.

Do I still need a Tokyo DisneySea ticket to visit Fantasy Springs?

Yes, you still require a DisneySea park One Day Passport entrance ticket to access DisneySea and so Fantasy Springs. You don’t require any other ride pass or booking to access the Fantasy Springs area inside DisneySea.

The Fantasy Springs entrance tunnel now has free access

Does the Disability ride system (DAS pass) work in Fantasy Springs?

Yes, now that the Fantasy Springs rides are unrestricted the Tokyo Disney DAS Pass will work with all Fantasy Springs rides without any other ride pass. Keep in mind that if the queue is 3 hours long, that will be your return time.

What if I have a Vacation Package?

Luckily you can pre-select your Fantasy Springs rides and not have to worry about queuing for excessive times or hoping to get a DPA, which is great!

How can I get in to Fantasy Springs once I’m in DisneySea?

The Fantasy Springs area is open to all DisneySea guests by simply walking in through the entrance tunnel.

Use the official Tokyo Disney Resort App to navigate your way across the park to get there. It will take you around 20 minutes walk from the front entrance.

What can I see inside Fantasy Springs?

Fantasy Springs is made up of four areas – three “magical springs” and the Fantasy Springs Hotel:

Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel

Fantasy Springs Arandelle Frozen World

You can now access the entire Fantasy Springs precinct, including all the Fantasy Springs rides.

This means you can stroll the paths, view the stone statues and other themed decorations and fountains. You can visit the themed Fantasy Springs areas including Frozen’s town of Arandelle, the big pirate ship and skull cave from Peter Pan and see Rapunzel’s Tower.

You will be able to view the outside of the Royal Banquet of Arandelle restaurant, The Snuggly Duckling Restaurant Lookout Cookout restaurants and book mobile food orders to enter and eat inside these restaurants.

You can walk around the park-front entrance of the beautiful Disney Fantasy Springs Hotel, but entry to the Hotel is restricted to guests.

What Disney characters are found in Fantasy Springs?

You may be lucky enough to find a Disney Princess or two in Fantasy Springs! Characters sighted include most Disney Princesses plus Anna and Elsa from Frozen regularly making appearances.

To interact with them you can either surround them in a crowd and hopefully snatch the opportunity to pose with them for a photo, or sometimes there is a formed queue to get a photograph with them.

How can I eat inside the Fantasy Springs restaurants?

The Fantasy Springs sit-down restaurants all have restricted entry. They are:

Royal Banquet of Arendelle

Lookout Cookout

The Snuggly Duckling

Currently the only way to enter and eat inside any of the Fantasy Springs Restaurants is to use the official app to make a mobile order for that restaurant. You can order something as small as a drink to get you inside and then use Counter number 1 to order what you like once inside, but you must have a booking to enter.

The Fantasy Springs Snuggly Duckling Restaurant

How do I make a Fantasy Springs Mobile Food Order on the app?

You can only book a Tokyo Disney Resort DisneySea Mobile Food Order on the official Tokyo Disney App after you have scanned into DisneySea. You can only book for people physically scanned into the park.

Watch my step-by-step Mobile food order beginner’s guide video walk-through at DisneySea on my YouTube channel here (this video was made last year so please disregard references to Mobile orders only being allowed with ride passes, Fantasy Springs entry being restricted and Standby Passes)

What snacks can I buy inside Fantasy Springs?

Even if you don’t have a mobile order you can buy these Fantasy Springs snacks anytime!

Oaken’s OK Foods

Apart from menu items in the main Fantasy Springs restaurants you can buy light snacks from Oakens OK Foods stand, including Oaken’s Yoo Hoo Bread, Tiramisu Ice Creams, Soft drink and an alcoholic drink.

Oaken’s OK Foods

Peter Pan Popcorn Bucket

There is a Roast Beef popcorn stand located near Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies ride which sells the Peter Pan Popcorn Bucket. Some visitors aren’t keen on the Roast Beef flavour, so if you just want the popcorn bucket you can buy it and ask for a voucher which you can use for a different flavour to be given to you separately or go in your popcorn bucket at any of the other popcorn stands inside DisneySea.

The Peter Pan Popcorn Bucket stand

Springs Treasures Snack Wagon

Outside of the Fantasy Springs entrance tunnel is the Springs Treasures merchandise and snack wagon where you can buy ice creams.

Springs Treasures merchandise and ice cream stand

Can I go inside the Fantasy Springs Hotel Gift Shop?

Sometimes in Tokyo Disney parks, gift shops have new merchandise releases which are so popular that the shops require a timed pass to get in.

It’s wise to check the official app during the morning you enter to see if it’s necessary to book a place to go shopping at that particular store, as they can book up quickly.

Whether or not you’ll need to book a standby pass to get into the Fantasy Springs Hotel Gift Shop is dependent upon merchandise, and also how busy the park is.

Watch how to book a Standby Shop Entry Time step-by-step video guide here on my YouTube channel(this video was made last year so please disregard references to Mobile orders only being allowed with ride passes, Fantasy Springs entry being restricted and Standby Passes)

That said, you can buy most of the same Fantasy Springs merchandise inside the Galleria Store near the DisneySea main entrance.

Fantasy Springs Gifts store queue

How to do Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs rides in the right order to maximum the number of rides you can do in one day!

Tokyo DisneySea’s Fantasy Springs theme park area has been open several months now and has been welcomed as an exciting new area -but some visitors are getting frustrated that they can’t easily get passes to the most popular rides.

How can I get in to Fantasy Springs?

The Fantasy Springs area is no longer restricted, but ride bookings are scarce. It has some park visitors asking – what is the point of a new ride area if you can’t ride the rides?

Where can I buy Tokyo Disney Resort Tickets online?

You can buy Tokyo Disney tickets from the official third party discount seller Klook.

In preparation prior to arriving

(or while waiting in the queue on the day)

Step 1 – prepare for your day with these two big time savers…

You need to have your Disney Sea entrance tickets scanned into the Tokyo Disney Resort App before you can book any ride passes. If you do this in advance instead of on the day you’ll save precious time and be ready to book the ride passes straight away.

If you haven’t bought your DisneySea entrance tickets from the official website you’ll need to scan your ticket barcodes into the official Tokyo Disney Resort App manually. You can watch this video for instructions on how to do this.

You need to pay for any Premier Access passes you may buy with credit card details entered into the official Tokyo Disney App. You can also do this to save time if you don’t already have your details automatically saved in the app from any hotel bookings or ticket purchase you may have already made.

You can check if you have your credit card details already in, or add them into, the Tokyo Disney App by following the instructions in this article here.

On the day at Tokyo DisneySea

DisneySea entrance gates head of the morning queue

Step 2 – Arrive early

If you will be in the main park entrance queue, it’s important to arrive early so you are near to the head of the queue. Optimally, 2 hours before opening. At least 1 hour before opening.

You can read all about how to beat the Tokyo DisneySea entrance queue here.

Do I have to arrive at DisneySea early?

If you are okay with only booking one Fantasy Springs ride, arriving after 9:30am – 10am still gives you a fair chance at one or even two rides. The Frozen ride is still highly unlikely to be available at that time.

What are DisneySea quieter days?

These instructions are approximations only. They can depend on how busy Tokyo DisneySea is on the day you go. Your best chance is arriving around two hours early or more. If it’s a weekend or public holiday, consider adding another hour.

What can I do during DisneySea Happy Entry?

The exception is Happy Entry – If you are staying at the Disney MiraCosta Hotel or Disney Fantasy Springs Hotel, you will have Disney Sea Happy Entry, which gives you 15 minutes early entry from a special queue.

Happy Entry give you the first access to Fantasy Springs ride passes for the day.

What time should I arrive at DisneySea Happy Entry?

If your heart is set on the Frozen ride, you need to book it during Happy Entry, as it quickly fills up minutes after the general entry opens.

If you are unsure if your credit card will work in the app or are hesitant about booking, I would advise arriving at Happy Entry about an hour prior to opening time. This will get you near the head of the Happy Entry queue. This gets you an extra five minutes head-start within the 15 minutes early entry, as everyone else further back in the Happy Entry queue files in through the DisneySea entry!

Step 3 – Scan into DisneySea theme park

You cannot book ride passes until you scan your TDR entry ticket and those of your entire party into DisneySea.

Step 4 – Book your ride passes immediately

Walk out of the way of the entrance gates and open your Disney App to get booking! The sooner you book your first ride, the sooner you’ll be able to book another of the same type later.

How to book your Fantasy Springs ride passes to maximise the number of rides you can do in one day

Recommended order of ride bookings for Fantasy Springs

Suggested first ride: Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey (Longest, most popular ride)
Suggested second ride: Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival (Second most popular ride, slightly shorter than Peter Pan)

Usually all ride passes have booked up by the time you are allowed to book more, however you never know! So here are the next suggestions…

Suggested third ride: Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure (skip if you get motion sickness or have children under 102cms height)
Suggested fourth ride: Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies (Standby Pass only)(Shortest ride at only 2 minutes long, slowest, quietest ride)

Tokyo DisneySea’s Fantasy Springs theme park has four exciting new rides to try! But with ride passes scarce on the ground, it’s important to choose carefully – which rides will suit your family best?

Here is our breakdown of each ride so that you can make an informed decision before you arrive. Here is our Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs ride guide!

Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival

Which is the best Fantasy Springs ride?

The most popular ride at Fantasy Springs is currently Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey. The way it is possible to tell (apart from our own personal experience riding the rides!) is that the most popular ride is the one which books out of both Standby and Premier Access ride passes first – and that’s Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey!

The next most popular ride is Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival, followed by Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure and Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies. But this doesn’t necessarily mean this is the way you should book them!

What is Fantasy’s Springs Frozen ride like?

The Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey Standby ride entrance

Frozen is one of Disney’s most popular stories and themes, so this ride was always going to be popular. However, considering that much of the hype around the Fantasy Springs opening was the Rapunzel ride’s main lantern scene, the Frozen ride has proven to be the surprising front runner of the four Fantasy Springs rides.

Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey is a boat ride. It is also what Disney-lovers and other theme park experts call a dark ride, meaning it is contained within a building.

The Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey ride loading area

The Frozen ride is a faster moving and longer boat ride than Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival. It sometimes switches from forward moving to moving backwards. There are several interesting Frozen story scenes set to the soundtrack of the famous Disney Frozen movie during the ride. It has one stand-out transformation scene that can be difficult to see if you are sat on the wrong side of the boat (the left side). Overall, this is an excellent ride addition to Disney Sea, and is currently the number one ride choice in Fantasy Springs.

The Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey ride scene with Olaf, Anna & Kristoff

Ride height minimum: None

Ride length: Approximately 6.5 minutes

Good for a rainy day? Yes

The Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey ride is similar to the Disney ride… Pirates of the Caribbean (Tokyo Disneyland) and Frozen Ever After (Walt Disney World)

Extra tip! Sit on the right-hand side of the boat to see the Anna come to life after being frozen transition close-up!

What is Fantasy Springs Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival ride like?

Great for families with younger children and Rapunzel fans everywhere, Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival is widely reviewed as a lovely ride, but “too short” – especially considering the difficulty in procuring a ride pass, sometimes requiring waiting in line for over an hour with a Standby Pass. Therefore whilst a very nice ride, it is regarded by some as coming up short, and so may disappoint the Rapunzel-lovers.

The beginning of Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival is outside

The Rapunzel ride begins as an outdoor boat ride so that riders can enjoy Rapunzel’s Tower, complete with an animated Rapunzel leaning out of its window. The ride merges into a dark ride with several charming scenes from the Rapunzel movie story including one where Rapunzel swings around Flynn Rider by her long blonde hair. The ride concludes in the visually spectacular main lantern room scene where Rapunzel and Flynn are sat in a boat singing romantically to each other. They are surrounded with low-hung lanterns and Pascal looking on.

It’s a beautiful scene, but does it make it worthy of the best Fantasy Springs ride accolade? Most agree not – the Rapunzel ride comes in second to Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey, mainly due to it’s length and lack of variation in its story-telling.

Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival ride – Rapunzel swinging around Flynn

What is Fantasy Springs Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure ride like?

Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure is a 3D dark ride which requires the use of 3D glasses for the full immersive effect. This is the most exciting of all four Fantasy Springs rides but is still quite tame when compared to the more thrilling DisneySea rides.

The inner Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure ride queue

On the Peter Pan ride, riders sit in a moving “ship” seat which elevates and moves in front of big screens to give a flying with Peter Pan illusion. As this ride excludes smaller children with its height requirement, and also those who may experience motion sickness it isn’t proving as popular as the boat rides. Nonetheless, it is still reviewed as a very fun ride.

What is Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies ride like?

Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies is an outdoor carriage ride which slowly follows a windy track through Pixie Hollow installations of overgrown fauna and fairy homes. The carriage occasionally spins as it travels along the track.

This ride only has a Standby ride queue, and so it is not possible to book a Premier Access ride pass for it – only a Standby Pass.

Whilst no doubt a good ride for small children it is reviewed by some riders as a short and overall uneventful ride lacking in Tinker Bell story characters.

Tokyo Disney’s Fantasy Springs is an exciting new addition – here’s our cheats guide on how to get in using the cheapest or free entry passes – no vacation package required!

We got into Fantasy Springs with no more than our Disney Sea ticket and a hastily booked couple of ride passes – and you can too!

Get up to 10% off Tokyo attractions using my Klook discount code at checkout:

at checkout to get 10% off for new customers or 3% off for existing customers!

Klook conditions: Check for any exclusions. $50 min spend, $50 max discount, 5 times use.

Fantasy Springs is a great new addition to Tokyo DisneySea – but there’s an awful lot of confusion about how to get inside without paying a fortune. The good news is there are several options open to you without busting the bank – but first, let’s start at the top…

This page may contain affiliate links. If you book a stay or an attraction through one of them, I may receive a commission (at no additional cost to you). Thank you for your support!

Fantasy Springs 1-Day Passport: Fantasy Springs Magic

How much does it cost to get a guaranteed entry into Fantasy Springs?

The most expensive ticket into Fantasy Springs is without a doubt, booking to stay in its hotels. Be it booking just one night’s stay at Fantasy Springs Hotel which gives you the right to purchase a 1-Day Passport: Fantasy Springs Magic (which comes in the form of a wristband) or buying a whole Fantasy Springs Vacation Package which includes the Fantasy Springs 1-Day Passport. There is no cheap option with the hotel method.

The Fantasy Springs Hotel

The benefit of paying so much is that you get guaranteed entry into Fantasy Springs and an unlimited ride fast-pass to Fantasy Springs rides. Many people find that worth the extra expense. For those of us who don’t want to outlay that much money, or it is beyond their holiday budget – there are other options.

This article is for those Disney Park guests who want to enter Fantasy Springs but don’t have a Fantasy Springs 1-Day Passport to show how to get access to Fantasy Springs using individual ride pass bookings.

Where can I buy Tokyo Disney Sea tickets?

No matter how you get in to Fantasy Springs you’ll need a pass into Tokyo Disney Sea first – now named a Tokyo Disney “One Day Passport”. If you’ve bought a Tokyo Disney Vacation Package for your visit you will already have your Tokyo Disney Park tickets included, however if you don’t have a Vacation Package you’ll need to purchase Disney Sea park tickets.

You can get souvenir paper tickets from Disney Hotels

Can I buy Tokyo Disneyland tickets from Disney Hotels?

Yes, if you are staying at a Tokyo Disney Hotel you have the right to purchase guaranteed park tickets for every day of your stay. If you’re staying elsewhere there are several other options open to you, including buying tickets online on the official Toky0 Disney website or using a verified ticket reseller such as Kkday and Klook. If you’re fluent in Japanese, you can even buy tickets from some convenience stores in Tokyo!

Once you have your park entrance tickets (or QR codes) in hand, then you are ready to visit Disney Sea and attempt the following methods to get into Fantasy Springs for the cheapest possible price to explore, ride and eat!

The Fantasy Springs restrictions notification sign

What is the cheapest way to get into Fantasy Springs?

The cheapest way to get into Fantasy Springs is by entering Tokyo Disney Sea first thing in the morning and booking ride passes on the official Tokyo Disney App. One type of ride pass is paid. The other is free! Whilst these passes are limited in number, people are successfully visiting Fantasy Springs just by booking individual ride passes. The key to maximising your ride number is – arrive early! (More about this later)

Can I reserve Tokyo Disney ride passes before we get there?

No, Tokyo Disney ride passes can only be obtained after all members of your party have scanned into either Tokyo Disney Park.

The Fantasy Springs entrance tunnel

Can you walk into Fantasy Springs to look around for free?

Even if you have a valid Disney Sea Park ticket, you can’t just walk into Fantasy Springs to take a look around. The Fantasy Springs area is restricted to ride pass-holders or Fantasy Springs Hotel guests only. You need to have your park ticket with a valid Fantasy Springs entry time scanned at the entrance tunnel. There were a number of soft openings in the months leading up to the grand opening where Fantasy Springs was open to all park goers, but the area is now secured for normal operating…at least for now!

Inside Fantasy Springs can I just join onto any ride queue?

Although you have scanned your way inside Fantasy Springs with your valid time entry, you can’t just line up for any ride. All ride queues must be booked with allotted time slots. To get into Fantasy Springs, you must secure a ride pass.

Can I get into Fantasy Springs with a Disability (DAS) Pass?

No, a DAS pass won’t get you into Fantasy Springs on its own. You still need a valid Fantasy Springs ride pass or proof of Fantasy Springs Hotel stay to get inside Fantasy Springs – even if you have a Tokyo Disney Disability Pass. This includes rides.

Can I do all the rides in Fantasy Springs using my DAS Pass?

No, not unless you also hold Fantasy Springs ride passes for them. Whilst a DAS pass will assist you with a time return for any Fantasy Springs Standby ride pass you many hold, it won’t get you into any other ride in Fantasy Springs unless you also hold a Standby or Premier Pass for that particular ride.

How do Fantasy Springs ride passes work?

Tokyo Disney Sea main rides are accessed via two ride queues – the normal, or “Standby” queue and the “Priority”, or fast-pass queue. Unlike the rest of Disney Sea, Fantasy Springs requires passes for every ride queue.

With the exception of the Vacation Package and Hotel Fantasy Springs one day Passport, all Tokyo Disney Sea passes are directly booked by using the official Tokyo Disney Sea App.

When you obtain either of the two Fantasy Springs ride passes available, you are also automatically given access into Fantasy Springs for a period of time, plus access to the Fantasy Springs restaurants Mobile Order service.

Fantasy Springs worlds & ride pass guide

Fantasy Springs is the overall area name for an expansive, heavily Disney themed area. The design departs from Disney Sea’s normal dystopian or other-worldly Sea theming. The Disney Sea boats and train cannot access the Sea water area inside Fantasy Springs. You need to walk to the entrance, which is at the far end of the park,

A series of foot paths lead guests inside and throughout Fantasy Springs and its Worlds, and are lined with high, vegetation-covered walls and are decorated along the way with scattered, stone-like Disney character fountains and other Disney theming.

The main attractions inside Fantasy Springs are the three new Disney Worlds. These Worlds are fashioned around their Disney themed feature rides. There are also three major restaurants, a food stand and a popcorn stand. There is a large Hotel gift shop which sells Fantasy Springs merchandise only and is accessible from the Fantasy Springs public area.

Facilities inside Fantasy Springs include toilets, rubbish bins.

The Fantasy Springs Free Standby Ride Pass

How do I book a free Fantasy Springs Standby Pass?

The Fantasy Springs standby queue is unlike the rest of Disney Sea where park guests can just join onto the end and wait their turn. In Fantasy Springs you’ll need a Standby Pass to do that, but the good news is that this is a free pass! The Standby Pass is booked by selecting the “Standby Pass” button below your ticket on the Tokyo Disney App.

Watch the full video instructions on how to book a Fantasy Springs Standby Pass here

How long do I have to wait to book another ride Standby Pass?

You’ll need to wait two hours before you can book your next Standby Pass. At the current time, all Fantasy Springs Standby Passes for the day have already been booked before the two hours pass, but there are often times when Standby Passes come back into the system, so it’s worth refreshing the app throughout the day to try your luck!

The Fantasy Springs Paid Premier (DPA) Ride Pass

The Rapunzel ride Priority Access Entrance

What is a Tokyo Disney Premier Pass?

Priority queues are the paid, fast-pass queue – otherwise known as the Lightning Lane in the USA Disney parks. It is offered on select Disney Sea rides and all but one (Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies) Fantasy Springs rides.

How much does a Tokyo Disney Premier Pass cost?

The Priority queue is typically priced between 15oo-2000 yen per person. Fantasy Springs Premier Passes are all priced at 2000 yen each per person.

How do I get a DPA Premier Pass?

Park visitors can buy a place in a Tokyo Disney’s Priority queue by purchasing a Disney Premier Access (DPA) pass. The Priority queue is also used for Disability DAS Pass guests.
To order your Disney Premier Access pass, select the “DPA Disney Premier Access” button below your ticket on the Tokyo Disney App.

Watch the full video instructions on how to book a Disney Premier Access Pass here.

How long do I have to wait between booking Tokyo Premier Passes?

You’ll need to wait one hour before you can book your next Premier Pass. At the current time, all Fantasy Springs DPA Passes for the day have already been booked before the hour passes, but it’s possible that more DPA’s for Fantasy Springs become available again, so it’s worthwhile refreshing the Tokyo Disney app throughout the day in the hopes tha.t you can secure another Fantasy Springs ride.

The Disney Sea Mobile Order

The Fantasy Springs Snuggly Duckling Restaurant

How does the Fantasy Springs Mobile Order work?

Once you have secured a Fantasy Springs ride pass you will also be allowed to book a Fantasy Springs restaurant mobile order.

Mobile Orders are placed on the Tokyo Disney App by selecting “Mobile Order” from the buttons below your park ticket on the App. You select a time and will receive a notification at your time period. You then go to the restaurant and tap on the “I’m Here” button. You will be charged for your order and receive an ID number to show the counter when your order is ready. The restaurant will now prepare your order. You receive a final push notification a short time later to give you access into the restaurant and show you which number counter to go to and pick up your completed order. You can then sit down in the restaurant to enjoy your meal.

Where can I eat inside Fantasy Springs?

There are three major restaurants servicing the Fantasy Springs area all require a pre-mobile order to enter. Mobile Orders are made on the Disney App, and it’s best to do them as soon as possible after you’ve booked a ride pass. Like rides, they do run out, but you can only use Mobile Order once you have a valid ride booking.

Oaken’s OK Foods has counter service

There is also a counter service food stand in Fantasy Springs – Oaken’s OK Foods – which sells a type of bread roll. Oaken’s YooHoo Bread has meat and Cardamon inside of it.

What is the Fantasy Springs Popcorn Bucket?

There is one popcorn stand in Fantasy Springs. It sells Roast Beef flavour popcorn, sold in a Peter Pan popcorn bucket which has a light inside for nighttime.

Can I buy more food inside a Fantasy Springs restaurant?

Yes, you can Mobile Order something as small as a drink to get inside, and then make a full order from register number one once you have entered the restaurant. Your time inside is unlimited.

Can I walk into a Fantasy Springs restaurant once I’m inside Fantasy Springs?

No, you can’t enter a Fantasy Springs restaurant without a Mobile Order. A Mobile Order is currently the only way you are allowed into a Fantasy Springs restaurant. Also think carefully before you leave the restaurant, because without a mobile order you can’t get back in!

Can I just make a Mobile Order to get into Fantasy Springs?

No, you need to have a valid Fantasy Springs ride pass time in order for the app to allow you to also place a Mobile Order.

Cast members at the restaurant door, checking our Mobile Order is correct

Can I make more than one Mobile Order?

Yes, but there are some time-spacing restrictions. You can order again one hour after you initially did your previous mobile order as long as that order has been picked up, or two hours after the previous order if it hasn’t yet reached pick up time.

Disney Sea Mobile Order notification

How do you get into a Fantasy Springs gift shop?

There are two stores in Disney Sea that currently sell Fantasy Springs merchandise – The Fantasy Springs Gifts store and Emporio, which is located outside of Fantasy Springs near the Disney Sea main entrance.

The demand for Fantasy Springs merchandise is so high that even the stores need to be crowd-controlled with either a queue or a Standby Pass to enter. Once you do enter a store selling Fantasy Springs merch, you are limited to buying no more than one of any item for each ticket holder.

Fantasy Springs Gifts store queue

You are allowed to queue up the old-fashioned way for Fantasy Springs Gifts, located inside Fantasy Springs – but your ticket is scanned on the way in and you are limited to one entry only per day!

How do I book a Standby Pass into a Disney Sea store?

You can currently book a Standby Pass for the Disney Sea Emporio store (which has a large range of Fantasy Springs merchandise for sale) by selecting the Standby button below your ticket on the Tokyo Disney App and then selecting “Shops”. The full video instructions can be seen on our YouTube video here.

Are there Disney Characters inside Fantasy Springs?

In the two days we visited Fantasy Springs, we only saw one character – a Disney Princess just outside the Fantasy Springs Hotel.

The majority of Disney Characters at Disney Sea can be found in the forecourts near the Sphere at the main entrance and Harborside as you enter in the mornings, with scattered characters throughout the park during the day.

How long can I stay inside Fantasy Springs?

Once inside you can stay in Fantasy Springs as long as you like during Disney Sea opening hours – as long as you don’t leave that is, or you may not be allowed back in if you don’t have a ride booking to cover re=entry!

An important point to be aware of is that your access into Fantasy Springs for your ride pass time period is one-way – should you decide to leave Fantasy Springs to go to other areas of Disney Sea during that time period, you’ll find you cannot re-enter Fantasy Springs – ride pass or not! This applies for separate ride periods, so if you receive another Fantasy Springs ride pass and separate time period entry you can re-enter Fantasy Springs using the second time period, but again, it’s a one-time access only time period!

What time should I arrive at Disney Sea?

It’s the big question, and whilst many will tell you it really doesn’t matter if you don’t arrive early and you can stroll in after the first rush has entered into the park, this approach may not work to your advantage if you want the best chance to do the rides inside Fantasy Springs.

The earlier you arrive at the park, the better your chances are of securing a ride pass or two, and if you arrive too late you may miss out altogether.

Both Fantasy Springs ride passes run out rapidly – sometimes by 10am! So, you really don’t want to be arriving after the first passes have not only already gone, but the leftovers have almost all been snapped up too!

Arriving as early as possible – anywhere from a couple of hours prior to official opening time should put you in a good pass booking position once you scan inside the park. Even better, consider staying at Disney MiraCosta Hotel to get Tokyo Disney Happy Entry.

Fantasy Springs Rapunzel’s Tower

Happy Entry – Tokyo Disney Sea Early Entry

Staying at a Tokyo Disney Hotel is fun for sure – theming, location, restaurants – but the best part is getting access to Happy Entry – the Tokyo Disney early entry system. With the arrival of Fantasy Springs, unfortunately Happy Entry to Disney Sea has become even harder to get, with two of the luxury hotels losing Happy Entry benefits for guests. Currently you need to be a guest of MiraCosta Hotel (or Fantasy Springs Hotel) to get Happy Entry to Disney Sea.

Happy Entry paper tickets

Do I need to have Happy Entry to get into Fantasy Springs?

No. Whilst Happy Entry certainly makes life easier to get early entry into Tokyo Disney Sea to get Fantasy Springs passes, it’s not essential – but your best bet is to make sure you are in the next lot of people let into the park – and those are the ones who have lined up early in order to be near the front of the Disney Sea entrance queue. Arriving later doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t get in to Fantasy Springs – but you may not be able to secure one or more Fantasy Springs rides.

What is the best day to go to Disney Sea?

The best day to attend Disney Sea is almost always going to be a weekday, as weekends are often busy in Japan, and Tokyo Disney is a popular Japanese theme park year-round, both Summer and Winter. Winter can often be a little quieter, but then there are also more than usual ride maintenance periods. You can check your preferred dates on the official Tokyo Disney website.

Before you even consider buying tickets check for big public holidays like the famous Golden Week where there are a string of public holidays that can greatly affect crowd numbers at the Tokyo Disney Parks.

Fantasy Springs at Tokyo Disney Sea

The two Fantasy Springs ride passes are a simple system that work well except for one problem – the volume of demand far exceeds availability, so passes for both queues run out fast. If you want the best chance at the maximum number or Fantasy Springs rides for the day, I’d advise you arrive early to get the best chance – it’s worth the wait!
