Where to stay in Santa Monica – Shore Hotel
Whilst in Santa Monica we stayed at the stunning Shore Hotel – a sleek, sustainable luxury hotel located right at the entrance to the Santa Monica Pier.
From the moment you walk in, staff at the Shore Hotel go out of their way to ensure that you and your family feel welcome and have a wonderful stay.
We were met at check in with offers of champagne or apple cider – something travellers gratefully appreciate after a long journey! You are certainly well looked after at the Shore Hotel.
Hotel location
Shore Hotel is opposite the Santa Monica Pier
Situated opposite the famous Santa Monica Pier neon archway sign, the hotel is within easy walking distance of Santa Monica’s main tourist spots as well as Downtown Santa Monica’s shops, cafes and bars such as Third Street Promenade and Tongva Park.

Hotel features and facilities
The solar heated pool and hot tub area is situated within an elaborate outdoor atrium with views across to Santa Monica Beach. Outdoor lounges surround the pool for guests to take advantage of the beautiful Californian sunny weather.
A gym & fitness centre is available 24 hours a day, fitted out with state of the art equipment. Also on site you’ll find a business centre with office equipment, and a meeting room is available for event bookings.
Valet parking is available, and tourist buses pull up right in front of the hotel
Breakfast is a foodies delight at The Shore Hotel
The dining room is situated on the ground floor and overlooks the pool area.
The breakfast menu is a full-service foodies delight of delicious à la carte menu selections.
My favourites were the French toast and Eggs Benedict – what a delectable way to start the day!

Our Shore Hotel accommodation was a family suite, and was very elegant. It featured floor to ceiling windows, ultra modern furnishings and an attractive coastal-themed colour scheme.
The queen size bed was located in a spacious, stylish bedroom featuring a large flat screen TV and connecting bathroom ensuite.
A balcony overlooked the beautiful swimming pool and spa courtyard with expansive views across to the beach, ocean and Santa Monica Pier fun fair. We could even see the neon-lit Santa Monica Ferris Wheel from our room!
There was a large flat screen TV, an office desk area, storage cupboard and safe.
The lounge area was the perfect space for our family to relax and be comfortable after a fun day out in Santa Monica.
The bathroom was modern, elegant and served our needs well. There was a full-sized bathtub and shower, toilet and large vanity area with a good quality supply of towels and toiletries.
