Disney Live! presents Three Classic Fairy Tales review

We had a great time at the Disney Live! presents Three Classic Fairy Tales show today! There’s still time to get your family some of that Disney magic as this amazing production tours Australia… The beautiful Snow White The crowd was abuzz – Disney fans, from the tiniest toddler right up to the biggest kid (okay, us fanatical adults too!) were out in force, dressed from head-to-toe in their finest Disney Princess attire. It was Disney Live! presents Three Classic Fairy Tales show day! The merchandise, popcorn and slushie cash registers were merrily singing as harried parents attempted to rush their kids to their seats and then somehow keep them there until the show started ((Mummy, I need to go to the toilet! What – now? Can’t you wait? No! I have to go NOW! But I just asked you a minute ago…).

Once the Disney music rang out and a magical star of light danced its way around the edges of the stage, a whole arena worth of children’s attention locked-on – and stayed entranced by what can only be described as that stuff called Disney magic. The show is introduced and carried along by the Disney super-star characters of Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse (cue crazy audience screams!), Donald Duck and Goofy.

The tales of three classic Disney princesses commence with the gentle Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. The scary wicked queen tempts Snow White with a poison apple as she appeals to the audience – Should I eat it? Thousands of young audience members cry out in alarm NO! as the hapless Snow White bites into the apple and gracefully falls asleep. All is well of course, with her handsome prince awakening her, as all good Princes do!

And so the wonderful Disney magic rolls on with Cinderella (and some rather hilarious step-sister antics), a short intermission (More popcorn please Mummy!) and then the final tale of Belle in Beauty and the Beast. No one could tear their eyes away as the Beast was transformed into a gallant Prince, all thanks to Belle’s heartfelt declaration of love!

Don't mind if I do! A stunning Cinderella meets her Prince

The show is everything we’ve come to expect from Disney – cutting edge light and sound effects, mysterious smoke and mirrors, lavish costumes and sweeping tales of charm, woe and romance – what’s not to love? When you go to see a Disney show you know you’re going to get delighted kids and your money’s worth – plus a show that Mum and Dad can watch without nodding off!

The show draws to a magical end- Snow White, Cinderella and finally Belle all get their Prince with the seal of a romantic Disney kiss. After all – everybody loves a happy ending! These stories are timeless, triggering happy childhood Disney memories for us parents, and perhaps more importantly, creating special new ones for your child. Disney captures the hearts of yet another generation of avid youngsters.

The end of another great Disney show - bye 'til next time!
