Murwillumbah Showground Camping & Caravanning NSW
The Murwillumbah Showground, NSW is a great place to camp. It is the perfect tourist accommodation base to access many Northern New South Wales and Queensland Gold Coast beaches and attractions.
There are many handy camping facilities and is a great place to spend up to a week, or for free-camping frequenters to use as a (paid) camping service point – stay overnight to refill, recharge, dump and get back on the road!
A peaceful country campground
Whilst located on the edge of town, the Murwillumbah Showground is in a peaceful country setting of rolling hills, tall trees and mown grass. One boundary is a sugar cane field. It is also home to many native birds, including Kookaburras, Ibis, parrots and Magpies.
Family Friendly
The speed limit at the showground is 10km per/hour, which keeps playing kids safe. Families can play cricket and football on the oval, or the large grassy spaces. Children can safely ride their bikes and scooters, or roller skate on the paved roads and covered pavilions within the showground.
Pet Friendly
The Murwillumbah Showground is pet friendly – dogs are welcome at the showground, provided owners keep them under control and pick up after them.
Doggy Day Care
If you would like to have a day out without your dog to visit the Gold Coast theme parks or other non-pet friendly attraction, there is a local Doggy Day Care currently priced at $15 per day (as of 2020 – subject to change) – ask the showground caretakers for details.
